“SmartOar has been almost like an assistant coach on my staff last year. The additional data that the device provides allows athletes to quantify their effort while sweep rowing. With sweep rowing it is challenging to isolate athletes, and smartOar does this, which is a huge help when rowing an eight.”

“I can’t say enough how valuable these are to have with us as training aids. With our population we get two direct benefits just from the first-order result of an average impulse: our younger rowers know they’ll be held accountable to the numbers, and our competitors want to see themeselves at the top of the list. We’ve also seen good individual and boat change from the teaching and monitoring of the curve.”

“We used smartOars during our selection camp and training phase for the U23 Women’s National Team that ended up having great performances in Bulgaria (sweeping the 8+, 4-, 2-). The smartOars were a very clear teaching tool that illustrated areas where we could improve and areas that were strong. The athletes were highly interested in what they were able to produce by being better synchronized with their power application on the water. Having access to that data during camp was really helpful.”

“I firmly believe your oars helped us get better and made the guys more aware of how they were pulling. We really appreciate it!“
